Where destiny met choice—and two hearts said always.
Some stories begin with sparks.
Ours began with our parents exchanging phone numbers.
When our families connected and the kundalis aligned, we agreed to meet. On 20th April 2025, we met for the first time — polite smiles, measured conversations, and a lot of silent overthinking.
Coffee dates followed. Easy laughter followed that.
From April to October, what started as "just getting to know each other" slowly became comfort.
In October, we decided to call it off. Sensible? Maybe. Final? Apparently not.
We stayed in touch, occasionally.
Until one day, when life felt overwhelming, Milan knew exactly who he wanted to talk to. One call turned into long conversations. Long conversations turned into something neither of us could ignore.
Somewhere between career talks and late-night honesty, we fell in love.
This time, it wasn't arranged.
It was certain.
We chose each other.
Our families chose to celebrate it.
He proposed on a Scrabble board. It's a game we've always loved.
He glued the letters on, spelling "MILEA WILL YOU MARRY ME", and then asked if I wanted to play the game after dinner. He had me set up the game, and of course when I opened the board, I saw the letters spelling out the proposal!
I was so awestruck, confused and surprised at the same time as he stood there ring in hand. I framed the board and have it hanging in our home.
"Yes! Yes of course! Yes!"
